Hypnotist
Trying something new,
the State Grange Youth Committee
presented a hypnotist on Friday evening
following the conferral of the Sixth
Degree. Jody Cameron, State Assistant
Steward can be seen being led by
the hypnotist, as well as State Pomona
Jane Wendell.

CWA Program - Saturday, October 18, 2003 |

The
CWA Program
State Women's Activities
Director Betty Jane Gardiner presented
numerous gifts as part of her program
on Saturday. Two hotel luggage carts
holding the 60 backpacks, 17 boxes
of school supplies and 54 memory books
donated for Foster Care in the state.

The CWA Theme for 2003 was "Happy Holidaze"

Other
donations included several boxes of foodstuffs
and a monetary donation of $380 to Friendly
Hands Food Bank of Torrington, $560 to the
Kelley Fund of the National grange, $740 to
the Student Loan Fund, $620 to the Connecticut
Granger Trust Fund, and $1070 to the Cande
Cane Express Project for seriously ill children.

The
Junior Program
State Junior Director
Joanne Cipriano (and she's also the
Leader of Beacon Valley Junior Grange
No. 5) presents her report on the activities
of the State Junior Department for
2003. All Junior Leaders were recognized,
including (above with snowman) Ellsworth
Beecher, who has served for 50 years
as the Leader of Winchester Junior
Grange No. 32.

State Master Duane K. Wetmore is installed
as a member of the State Executive Committee
for a three year term, by State Chaplain Marvin
Wilbur. Duane was escorted by his daughter,
State Youth Committee Member Pat Palmer. Regalia/Emblem
bearer was Kay Ruff.
