B.A.N.N.E.R. ...
By Pat Palmer, State Youth Director

NOVEMBER 2005 -- 2006 THEME - Be A New Neighbor Everyone Recognizes

I would like to challenge all youth, and not so youth, to visit other Granges (even with higher gas prices) to make your presence known, to help where possible, and to make new acquaintances. This could make a big difference to a Grange.

Thank you to all the Granges and Grangers that supported the youth department in the past year. Your efforts in raising pennies was a success and was enough to cover the additional expenses for the New England Youth Conference.

Let’s make this a B.A.N.N.E.R. Year!

Youth News . . . “T.R.A.V.E.L.”

Connecticut will be hosting the New England Youth Conference in 2005 and we are asking everyone to help with this continuing fundraiser. Travel that extra mile with us to help us reach our goal by collecting pennies to help defray the cost of the Conference. Thanks to all who helps pave the miles last year, and hope that all will continue their efforts.

New Youth Member Award . . .

An award will be given to the Subordinate and Pomona Grange that initiates the most Youth members in this Grange year.

To submit an entry, simply answer the question, “How many new Youth members did your Grange initiate this year?” at the end of the Subordinate/Pomona Youth Achievement Report.

Reports are due on or before October 1, 2005 to Pat Palmer, 622 Jerusalem Rd., Windham, CT 06280.
