Winners of CT Ag Journalism Awards announced

West Hartford photographer Julie Bidwell is honored with Agricultural Journalism Award for a feature story about Farm Dinners she pitched and photographed for Connecticut Magazine that was the July 2010 cover story.

The Commissioner of Agriculture and more than 30 Connecticut agricultural organizations formally presented the annual Connecticut Agricultural Journalism Awards to nine state journalists at the state capitol March 16.

The Awards are given annually by the nonprofit Connecticut Agriculture & Natural Resources Association, a coalition of state farming groups, as part of the festivities surrounding Connecticut Agriculture Day at the state capitol. Each recipient receives an honorarium of $100 and a plaque. The Awards recognize excellence in reporting on agricultural issues published or broadcast in the state during the calendar year 2010.

Winners of the 2010 Connecticut Agricultural Journalism Awards include:
