By Jessie King, Ledyard Patch (7/12/11)

  JULY 12, 2011 --

Mark Zotti of the Connecticut Department of Agriculture things are coming in this week and depending on the weather, the farmers' markets should be pretty well stocked through the week.

"We should be okay through this week, (but) when it gets hot like this, it'll be tough to grow a lot of the cold crops like lettuce and cauliflower," he said. "It'll still be there (at the market) but not as much as in the beginning of the season."

Zotti said native peaches and nectarines are arriving in markets this week.
