Around The Grange
Email vs. Snail Mail

By Edith Schoell, State Secretary

  NOVEMBER 9, 2011 --

State Session is now history, and it is time to look forward to the future.  Changes are bound to occur and we will attempt to encounter them with positive actions.  I am referring to the mail.

I, for one, enjoy getting “snail mail” - not the junk kind.  I realize e-mail is quick and supposedly necessary in today’s world.  However, getting quarterly reports by e-mail does not help when a check should be included.  Often the check comes a week or so later and has to be connected with the report, thereby causing more confusion.  Also, this happens when the Treasurer doesn’t write a check at the meeting to be included with the Secretary’s report.  It would be nice to receive them together and then my report can be done that much sooner.

I hope that the Blue Books will be available earlier than last year.  They will be distributed as soon as possible.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.
