| NOVEMBER 14, 2011 -- Seven members of New London County Pomona attended the Pomona Competitive Night at the Prospect Senior Center. We enjoyed a delicious potluck dinner (especially so because our table number was picked first), then went on to win first place in the competition- thanks mostly to Mary, who ignored the cries of the team to quit and persevered to the end. We are all saving our flashlights for the next power outage. Kudos to the Social Connection for putting together a most enjoyable evening.
Our next Pomona meeting will be as guests of Norwich Grange. That’s a Saturday Night, so Norwich will not have a meeting before our meeting at 7:30 P.M.
How lovely the brilliant fall colors,
The oranges, reds and golds;
But soon autumn fades into winter,
And the holiday season unfolds.
