Around The Grange
National Grange Session by the Numbers

By Jodi Ann Cameron, First Lady of the CT State Grange

  DECEMBER 6, 2011 --

During our time at National Grange Session in Oklahoma I took note of a few things and compiled this list:

1 Candidate from Connecticut taking the Seventh Degree

2 New Priests - High Priest and Priest Annalyst

3 New National Officers

5 Members from Connecticut at National Grange Session

6 Resolutions sent from Connecticut and acted upon

7 Honored as “Heroes of the Grange”

7 New State Masters

9 Days in Oklahoma

14 Hours of Committee Meetings

16 Hours of Breakfast, Luncheons, Dinners, or other Special Programs

16 Honored in Memorial Service, including Connecticut's Marion Beecher & Duane Wetmore

19 Distinguished Granges recognized - 3 State Granges & 16 Community Granges

23 Hours of Sessions Meetings

37 Number of States represented by Delegates

46 Earthquakes during our stay in Oklahoma. They ranged from 1.9 to 5.6 which was new record quake for Oklahoma.

67 Delegates representing the States

209 Resolutions acted upon by committees and delegates.

There were still many things that could not be measured like the hours of visiting with friends new and old, and the lessons learned past, present, and future.
