| DECEMBER 9, 2011 -- As I try to write this article, I hope all our Grangers are doing well after Storm Alfred. The clean-up continues since more branches seem to find their way down after a strong wind. I have a tree that looks like it should be on a shipwreck island! Branches every which way.
At our recent State Session the delegate body voted to increase the quarterly dues paid by Subordinate Granges to State by 50 cents. The increase is 50 cents per member, per quarter, or $5.75 ($23.00 per member/year). this will begin with the payment due March 31, 2012.
At the session we learned that several Granges had taken in new members. The State Master is still urging all to get one new member per member, during the coming year. We had one quarter with a net gain so let’s have more on the plus side. Applications are available through the Central Office. |
