Greenfield Hill News Update for June

By Dennis Rich

  JUNE 11, 2015 --

The first two weekends of April brought us six performances by the Penny Lane Players of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, enjoyed by all.  A successful “Flea Market for Hoarders” closed out the month on the last Saturday.  The Farmer’s Market is moving into the Summer edition on May 16.  It will be located at the lower end of Hillside Road.

A special presentation on beneficial as related to pollinators will take place from 10A.M. to 11A.M. at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library located at 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, Fairfield 06825.  The presenter will be our Master/President Eric Frisk, who is an accomplished gardener.  No admission is charged.  To reserve a space register online at www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or call (203) 255-7308.

Much of our efforts for the next couple of months is planning and behind the scenes work getting ready for our annual Fair in August.  Plan to exhibit garden produce, baking or canning and/or craft items!

The future junior group is planning a “Tie Dye” shirt project for 10A.M. to Noon on Saturday, June 20.  For information contact Cindy Wakeman at (203) 243-1887 or email cwak631201@aol.com.

All are welcome to our meetings and activities!
