FEBRUARY 2008 --
There have been a lot of questions regarding volunteers at the upcoming National Convention. Many are wondering why they haven’t been contacted by the various department chairs. Much of the work right now involves planning and organization. National Grange recently hired Margaret Maxwell as the new Administrative Assistant and Meeting Planner for the National Headquarters. We expect to have much more information coming out of Washington as she settles into her new job and as the convention draws closer.
Sister Sue Gray is maintaining a master list of all of the individuals who have volunteered to work at the session by filling out the forms we have distributed or through the sign up page on the NationalGrange2008.com website. You should expect to hear from the various committees as they have a clearer picture of what they will need.
The convention website is now up and running and we hope all members from Connecticut and beyond will refer to it often for the latest news and information about the convention. We have included information regarding lodging, food, entertainment and many other areas to help members plan their time in Cromwell. Specific information about registration and the convention schedule have yet to be finalized and will be added as it becomes available.
In the meantime, please sign up for the email updates and use the provided online form to sign up as a volunteer. The email updates will be emailed directly to your mailbox as they are posted, keeping you aware of developments as they occur. This site is maintained for the Northeast Region through the Connecticut State Grange website and is designed to complement information received from National Grange.
