July News from Enfield Grange

By Irene Percoski

  July 6, 2017 --

July 8: Picnic Time

Aug. 12: Dog Days of Summer – bring items for animal shelter

We will have started to participate in Enfield’s Farmer’s Market by the time you read this. This is our major fundraiser for the year. Let’s make sure our booth is well stocked with baked goods and craft items. Good news for this year is that food trucks will be allowed to park nearby which should attract more shoppers.

Dawn Percoski was the winner of our baking contest and will bake again for the state contest.

In August bring your pet food, blankets, old, but useable towels, pet toys, leashes- anything that the shelter can use to make rescued pets comfortable.

On a sad note I went to the wake of Fred Kaeser in May. Fred was a former Master of Wapping Grange and came to Enfield when Wapping closed. Fred and his wife, Midge, were lovely people and loved the Grange very much. He was always open and friendly, ready to lend a hand or take part in a skit. I miss him.
