December News from Wallingford Grange No. 33

By Dan Lauttenbach

  December 11, 2017 --

Dec. 14: Annual Christmas Program. Card Exchange and $5 Grab Bag. Refreshments by all members.

On Oct. 12 Vern reported that this year’s apple harvest has been as good as it could be. Almost perfect conditions! There has been still great corn available at Billy Beaumont’s Farm. (BTW there was still good corn up to last week). Vern said he has tilled everything under except for Swiss chard and turnip. Janet reported on the CWA entries and the new theme for the year- Pirates and Treasures. Dan reported that all the fair premiums were sent out. Janet reported we didn’t have enough blue ribbons this year and will have to place an order for those that we still owe our winners. By the time you read this these should be all sent out. I was to be out of town on the 26th of October so it was decided to forego the second meeting in October.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the members of Wallingford Grange!
