Marlborough Grange #205 is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a resident of Marlborough, Heborn, Andover, Glastonbury, East Hampton, Colchester Columbia or Lebanon.

This scholarship is given to a student who will be furthering or continuing his or her education in the field of agriculture and must be accepted as a full time student for the 2009 college year. An applicant may be a graduating student, a present college student , or any other person residing in the named towns planning to attend school and major in an agricultural field of study. Grange membership is not required. For applications and information, contact your local school guidance department.

The scholarship will be awarded at Grange Awards Night in May. The actual award will be sent to the college for deposit into the student’s account. Call Laura Coombs, Marlborough Grange President at 228-3668 . Applications must be received by April 1 in order to be considered.
