2007
would have been the 40th Anniversary of the Connecticut
Agricultural
Fair
The
Connecticut Agricultural Fair was founded in 1967 by the members
and Granges of the Connecticut State Grange. Their mission was to promote agriculture and to educate the public
about its importance in all of our lives. The first Connecticut
Agricultural Fair was held on the Durham Fairgrounds where it was
held until the mid-1980s when the Fair moved to the scenic fairgrounds in the foothills of the Berkshires in
Goshen, Connecticut.
Sadly, in the fall of 2007, theFair Board of Directors voted to cancel the Connecticut Agricultural Fair and disband the orgnaization, effective November 1, 2007.
Take a look through the Grange Scrapbook for memories of the Connecticut Agricultural Fair throughout it's 39 years.
