| NOVEMBER 13, 2010 -- The Connecticut Farm Bureau, the voice of Connecticut agriculture, honored Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell during its 2010 Annual Meeting on November 5th.
Governor Rell received recognition for her longstanding support of the state's agriculture sector during her last six years as governor.
Her support has been instrumental in the passage of farmland preservation measures, last year's legislation that saved the state's dairy industry, and this year's "Farms, Food and Jobs" bill which opened up new markets for state farmers and gave state residents expanded access to locally grown foods. |
