Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market at Greenfield Hill Grange

Grab your reusable shopping bags, stop off at the ATM for some cash, and call a friend to meet you at the indoor winter farmers’ market at the Greenfield Hill Grange in Fairfield. The market opens on Saturday, January 15, and runs every Saturday through the spring from 10 am – 1pm. Located at 1873 Hillside Road, The Greenfield Hill Grange dates back to 1897 and contains an assembly room, dining hall and second floor theater. The market will be limited to the first floor only, and to protect this Colonial Revival-style building, guests are asked to please not enter with any food, drink or pets. Due to Fairfield Health Department regulations, no prepared food will be served and no farm animals will be on display.

Nancy Moore and son Richard of Moorefield Herb Farm co-manage this market with Lise Agee of Goatboy Soaps. Thank you for organizing and running this market. We’re certainly happy to be able to shop in a heated space this season!

  • Riverbank Farm (organic vegetables, pickles and tomato sauce)
  • Beltane Farm (fresh and aged goat’s milk cheeses beginning in February, when the goat’s milk is available again)
  • Keed’s Farm (organic microgreens)
  • Daffodil Hill Growers (flower bulbs, maple syrup and fruit preserves)
  • Wave Hill Breads (French artisan breads)
  • Black Bird Pies (farm fresh pies)
  • Eagle Wood Farms (sustainably raised pork and meat products)
  • Newgate Farms (conventionally grown vegetables)

Currently there is no milk, yogurt or cheese available, but Beltane will have cheeses beginning in February. Keed’s Farm will have eggs. Local eggs, especially organic, sell out fast, so come early if you want eggs.
