Mountain County Pomona April News Update

By Todd Gelineau

  APRIL 17, 2012 --

Deputies Lin Erickson and Peter Keefe join me in thanking all of the Granges who particpated in the School of Instruction at Winchester Grange on March 24.  ALL of the Granges in the Pomona were represented at the meeting (it’s been a long time since this has happened).  It was great to know that every Grange was present for this important meeting.

The Pomona Tag Sale, held in conjunction with the Statewide Tag Sales to benefit the American Liver Foundation, will be on April 28 at LITCHFIELD GRANGE HALL from 9 to 2 P.M.  Several vendors have asked for space and we know the members throughout the Pomona will provide plenty of “valuable” items for this sale.  A Bake Sale to benefit the Pomona will also be held this day, with proceeds earmarked for the roof repairs on the Pomona Cabin at Camp Berger.

Looking further ahead, the Fifth Degree will be conferred on Monday, May 14 at Winchester Grange with a supper ($5) beginning at 6 P.M.  All Granges are encouraged to talk up Pomona membership and bring their candidates to the Degree.

Apr. 28:  Pomona Tag Sale, 9-2 P.M., LITCHFIELD Grange Hall

May 14:  Fifth Degree, Winchester Grange, Dinner 6 P.M. ($5); Meeting at 7:30 P.M.
