Connecticut State Grange to Roast Phil Prelli May 19

The Connecticut State Grange is serving up a feast and the main dish will be CT State Grange Past President F. Philip Prelli. Taking a cue from the old Dean Martin Roasts and Comedy Roast Specials as seen on television, the Connecticut State Grange will be honoring Prelli on Saturday, May 19, in a Comedy Roast at Cheshire Grange Hall.

Hosted by the Social Connection Committee of the CT State Grange, the festivities begin at 6:00 PM.  Cheshire Grange Hall is located at 44 Wallingford Road, Cheshire.  Tickets are $10 per person.

Prelli who served as President of the CT State Grange from 2002 - 2006, served from 1991 - 2003 as a State Representative for the 63rd District. He was also selected as Connecticut's Commissioner of Agriculture from 2005 - 2011. In 1995 Prelli was named Connecticut Farm Bureau Legislator of the Year, and in 2002 he received the Farm Bureau's Agricultural Statesman Award.  Prelli is a member of Riverton Grange.
