Oxford Grange Small Business Fair a Success

Oxford Grange #194 held its first Small Business Fair at the Grange hall in Oxford center today.  The show featured 28 vendors covering a variety of products and services.  Representatives from Thrive Life, Tastefully Simple, Wild Tree Organic Food, and Ladybug Cake and Candy Supply offered food choices.  Daffodil Hill Growers offered plants for sale.  Leap Frog Services showcased garden and landscape design.  Unique Expression Photography and John Munno Photography offered their talents.  Terry James Art and Frame was on hand to display their artwork offerings and framing services.  Ken Larson of Goldfinch Systems offered computer services.  Heritage Financial and Northwestern Mutual were on present to offer financial advice.  Casey's Creation and Origami Owl had jewelry for sale.  Jan-Made Crafts and Al Werden Woodcrafts had a variety of craft items for sale.  Megan Hodge of thirty-One had purses and totes for sale.

Ronald Emond, DVM of Candlewood Equine gave a presentation on equine parasite control on horse farms.  The Reiki Connection was on hand to demonstrate this art.  Bill Ragozzine of Entire Home, Inc. talked about and displayed electrical home generators.  Unique Sister Workshop demonstrated long arm quilting.  Next Step Living offered advice on home energy efficiency and was setting up home energy audits.  Envirocare Pest Control  offered advice on dealing with all vermin and household pests.

Items were donated for a raffle by the All-American General Store, Brennan's Shebeen Restaurant, The Brookside Inn, Hot Tamale's Bar and Grill, Stop and Shop in Seymour, and Tea With Tracy.  Food items were donated by Nardelli's in Oxford and Panera Bread in Shelton for the enjoyment of our vendors.

The fair really showcased a sampling of the great variety of small businesses offering high quality goods and services in our area.
