April News from Winchester Grange

By Todd Gelineau

  April 8, 2017 --

Apr. 11: First & Second Degrees

Apr. 25: Third & Fourth Degrees, Potluck Harvest Supper at 6:00 P.M.

Winchester Grange held a successful Cabin Fever Craft & Bake Sale with a good number of vendors and a steady flow of shoppers. Plans are in the works to confer all four degrees in April with candidates anticipated. Granges with candidates are encouraged to contact our Secretary Sue Addison if interested in bringing them to Winchester for the degrees.

The members of Winchester Grange were saddened to hear of the pending closure of Super Saver in Winsted. John Dwan, owner of Super Saver, has been a great supporter of our Grange over the years being the “official grocer” of our Grange for Dinners, the Strawberry Festival and last minute runs for supplies during events. He plans to “do something different” in his retirement and wish him well but he will be missed by many in the Winchester/Winsted communities.
