May Musings from Winchester Grange No. 74

By Todd Gelineau

  MAY 1, 2025 --

May 3: Tag Sale, Grange Hall, 9-?

May 13: Food for Homeless Animals Month, Potluck 6:00 PM

May 27: Memorial Day Program (by Chaplain), Ref. Patrick O’Brien

Winchester Grange will kick off the warmer weather with a spring tag sale on May 3. Members are encouraged to donate items and come to the sale to find the treasure they didn’t know they needed. Please do not donate large items of furniture, bed frames, etc.

Plans are moving ahead for the restoration of the front of the hall.  The new Grange emblem has been ordered and will replace the oval window (once covered up and re-sided). In the kitchen and dining room, the windows will soon be replaced with energy efficient versions. Until now, we have had to remove inner windows in the spring and put them back in during the fall.

Also on the agenda will be the replacement of the front doors with new doors and hardware. All are expensive projects, but we are necessary for the long-term health of our hall.

Looking ahead to our August Grange Fair... We have made arrangements for a local Mobile Veterinary Clinic to be at the Fair. Dr. Jill’s Pet Candy Pop-Up Wellness Clinic will provide affordable, high- quality veterinary care. Learn more by visiting her website: www.mypetcandy.com/vet

Join us at our upcoming tag sale or one of our meetings. We would love to see you there.
