Our Grange Farm School Committee’s Beekeepers Meet & Greet was a big success with 28 participants. Chris Hopkins opened by explaining Patrons of Husbandry then read a bit about agriculture from our source book. Iris Herman was our speaker and brought bee keeping exhibits. A lively Q&A took place including long time beekeepers and newbees. We were happy to have Bill and Kathy Barnes from Wallingford Grange in attendance.
The Farm School Committee’s 4 seasonal meetings/events will be held: Mar.4th-Spring/Seed Swap & Starting Seeds. June 3rd -Summer/ Cultivating/Care of the Soil. Sept.2nd Autumn/Preserve Our Harvest and Dec 2nd Winter/Care of our Tools all are 4:30PM-6:00PM.
As I write this, we will be holding a Craft Night on February 21st and if needed on the 22nd with members and the public featuring Frame Decorating with the intention to entering them at State Session. Family Activities continues to collect G-Notes which we will also bring there.
