| AUGUST 3, 2026 -- This year’s contests are done. Winners will be posted. Once again, I want to thank those of you who attended this year’s CT Grange Family Festival and for all of your beautiful entries. The first-place winners will be up at the Big E. I’d Like to thank Hillstown Grange for allowing us to use your Hall. The food was fabulous, and everyone had a great time.
I want to thank everyone who came to help during the July clean- up and who will help over Labor Day weekend. I am always grateful for everyone giving up time out of the holiday weekend. It’s very much appreciated.
The Big E starts on Friday Sept. 18th and runs through October 4th. Clean up will be the following Monday, October 5th before we close up the building. If anyone has time to volunteer during the fair, please contact Noel Miller or Dawn Percoski. We will give you an entrance ticket as well as a parking pass. The lot is very easy to get to and keeps you out of the traffic. We needed help for the donations table for our Quilt raffle as well cashiers, table straighteners and other light duties. Most important, we would like to open the upstairs CT room during Grange Sunday and Connecticut day. Any time during the fair if you would also like to volunteer to walk around upstairs to open it up on any other days would also be really appreciated. Please contact Noel Miller if you can spare time.
Just a few quick notes from the FAC. We will be having our yearly basket raffles at State Session. If you can’t come to the State session and you wanted to participate, just ask someone who is going and have them get tickets for you. You can always send me a check and let me know which basket(s) you want. (I don’t like sending money in the mail) The ticket prices will remain the same. 3 for $10.00. We hope you will enjoy these baskets. The first one is all about the children, the second basket is about gardening and the third is a surprise.
Hospitality Room Help
I will be coordinating the Hospitality Room again this year. No home baked goods but if you would like to donate snack items, please send it along with someone who is coming to state session.
Fresh fruit, finger items and water/ drinks are welcome. All food must be individually packaged such as in the Family packs. See you there!
