Around The Grange
California's Taylorsville Grange Re-organized

By Plumas County News, CA (1/31/11)

  FEBRUARY 10, 2011 --

Word from the California State Grange is that the Taylorsville Community Grange is once again alive and well, and will have a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 1 to elect new officers and make plans for the coming year.  The meeting will start at 6 p.m., and everyone is invited.

The Taylorsville Grange has served the community since 1928.

The meeting is expected to be well attended by local Grange members, state grange representatives, well-wishers and interested parties.

The Grange Hall in Taylorsville is a valuable community resource, available for use at very reasonable rental rates.  Everyone is welcome to apply for membership.

Plans for future activities include pancake breakfasts, youth programs, dances and entertainment, and charitable programs.

Grange membership in California has grown for the first time in 30 years, California State Grange President Bob McFarland said, and he looks forward to meeting and serving people in the Indian Valley community.

"Please come and join us," McFarland said. "Learn what the Grange is and how we plan to serve the Indian Valley community."

For more information, those interested may call (916) 454-5805.
