| SEPTEMBER 2, 2011 -- Count-down has been started for the date of our Pomona Competitive Night. Just to refresh your memory it is being held at the Prospect Senior Center on Saturday, September 17th. The evening will start with a pot luck supper served promptly at 6:00 pm. We hope to start the competition promptly at 7:00 pm.
I have received further confirmations from Mountain County, New London County and Fairfield County Pomonas. Previously confirmed teams are: East Central, New Haven, Farmington Valley and Excelsior Pomona. Individual prizes will be award to the top three teams as well as a cash prize.
Applications for the “Granger of the Year” Contests have been mailed to each Grange. All Granges have someone that deserves this recognition. They can’t win if you don’t enter them. Applications must be sent to Joanne Cipriano, Director by October 1st. A trophy will be presented to the winner. I check the mail each day for your application. |
