From The Chaplain's Desk
June 2008 Chaplain's Corner

By Amy Whitcomb, State Chaplain

JUNE 2008 -- Here it is June.  Just a short time ago we were wondering if the warm weather would ever come.  All the buds are coming to life and the flowers are looking lovely.  I do not see how anyone can deny the existence of a Creator God.  Everything is being recreated just as the Bible teaches us.  Is this not what the Bible teaches, that everything follows God’s plan.

As is told in the Bible we need to honor God and love our neighbor as our self.  This is a very hard thing to do as human beings because we tend to stop loving ourselves when we do not live up to our own expectations.  All of us tend to stray from the right path.  We do not use our lives at times in a loving way.  “God loves you and I am trying,” but that is not what the Bible says.  We need to love everyone and do the best we can for them.  I sometimes questions if the opposite is true; if we do not really love everyone do we really love the Lord?  Someday we will find our answer.

This is June and again I remind you of New England Grange Sunday at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, New Hampshire on Sunday, June 22nd.  See you there.
