November 2019 News from Greenfield Hill Grange No. 133

By Jim and Lori Golias

  November 6, 2019 --

Our annual Agricultural Fair was held on September 14 and it was a great success. Prior to the fair date, the Boy Scouts Troop 90 and their parents helped us spread mulch on the trail for the pony rides. Also, on the day of the fair, the scouts helped to set up and break down the tables and chairs and such. Thank you to Troop 90.

Our   Agricultural Fair was a great success, the best in five years and the weather was picture perfect.

Looking ahead: The installation of officers will take place at our October meeting.

On October 26, the Halloween Masquerade Dinner will be held. An Italian buffet will be served. Reservations required. Call Jim. 203-259-8023. An old “scary” movie to follow.

Attention quilters! On November 9 Greenfield Hill Grange will host a Quilt Talk Luncheon, featuring Karen Macdonald and her awe- inspiring quilts. Reservations required. Call Jim.

Our Holiday Boutique will be held on Saturday November 16 from 10-3. Vendors, crafters, and all sorts of holiday  gifts will be featured.

Giving Thanks for friends: Our traditional Thanksgiving dinner/ meeting will be held on November 18.

The holiday season is fast approaching. Happy holidays to all and God Bless.
