Around The Grange
Dec 2020 News from Senexet Grange No. 40

By Diane Miller

  DECEMBER 13, 2020 --

Dec. 16: Christmas Party

Dec. 24: Pie Sale

We continue to hold our meetings monthly with social distance and wearing masks. It is good to see our fellow members. We installed our new Master Amy Monahan. Our program on Bullying was very informative as there is bullying in all areas including work place and with adults. Several of our youth also added to the conversation. Various groups continue to safely meet in our hall. Plenty of open space and seating. We have several Christmas projects planned for the community. We were excited to be part of the State Grange annual meeting by virtual meeting in our hall. The internet in the hall has allowed this to happen. Thanks to all who helped us receive the new member award. Adding 9 members to our roles was achieved by active outreach. Having programs for all ages in the hall has been the answer to getting the organization going again.

Making pies in our certified kitchen will certainly help with fundraising. Now that the weather has turned colder we will need the funds to keep the hall warm for the groups that want to meet. We are actively seeking persons or groups that would like

to rent the hall. We have a really nice upstairs for exercise groups and the lower level for sit down groups.

We have books, puzzles and craft items available for all to use. Hope all stay well this winter.
